Reason For Child's Leg Pain After Dog Bite?

My little boy was accidentally bitten by our dog earlier today, leaving a small puncture mark.

He has been saying that his leg hurts (it is just below his knee) and has had Calpol since, but is saying that his foot hurts (He is up to date with all injections).

Can you give any advice please?

Hi,
Thanks and welcome to HCM .
Wash the wound in running tap water.
Tetanus toxoid if not immunized earlier .
Rabipur injections are given on 0,3,7,14,28 and 90 days starting from today.
Or observe the dog for 10 days for development of ferocious behavior biting several others or death of the dog while continuing Rabipur injections.
If the dog is healthy after 10 days of observation stop remaining injections.
Open dressing of the wound
antibiotic and analgesic to reduce pain and prevent infection .
