Reason For Hcg Level Getting Doubled Every 3 Days During Pregnancy?

Im about 5 weeks pregnant and experiencing some spotting, no pain. My hcg is doubling every 3 days.
Ultrasound show nothing anywhere.
My doctor thinks it might be ectopic, but I have no pain and it might be too eary to see on US (hcg is 1800).
do I start the metawhatever drug, or do I wait another week for another US?

Hi.I think it may be a delayed conception.so if I would be your doctor then would suggest to wait for a week. In normal pregnancy doubling time of HCG is 48 hours.
