Reason For Swollen Lower Gums After Getting Over Flu And Cold

I just got over the flu and have a nasty cold and just realized that my lower gums on the inside of my mouth are swollen, so basically when i open my mouth lift my tongue the whole gumline is swollen, there is no pain but i just noticed it while eating.

hi,thanks for your query.the main reason for swelling of gums is due to calculus and plaque build up and improper oral hygiene.flu and cold have nothing to do with this. get scaling done,maintain proper oral hygiene visit periodontist.hope this is helpful.
