Hello, Welcome to Healthcaremagic!
Malaria is a systemic infection, primarily affecting liver & blood in body. In cerebral malaria, there is involvement of CNS. There may be considerable debility due to recurrent fevers. It will persists for some time, exact duration cannot be predicted in a patient. Take a light but nutritious, & easily digestible diet, rich in proteins. Take fruits & vegetables. Depending upon Hb levels, you may take an iron preparation with a multivitamin. You may also consult a dietitian as well.
after malaria and any illness will give you weakness ,generally it takes few days.during this convellanse period you take nourishing food, more fluid fresh fruits and juices and rest.
As you completed the course and the antibiotics show some effect on you it takes time for you to recover from the weakness. With adequate nutrition , adequate water intake , vitamin supplements I guess you would take very less time to recover.Generally people take a week to a month to recover completely.
Take care.
