Red Blood Cells In Urine. Do I Have A Serious Problem ?
Hi. I did a urine test from my bladder directly. The results showed no bacterial growth but white blood cells were 6- 8, red blood cells were 8- 10 cells. I am using warfarin. I got bldder nerve damage after hysterectomy and I have in active urnation. Do I have a serious problem?
hi welcome,
blood cells in the urine from bladder is due to either UTI
or some wound or calculus (stone)
this result is not that much serious sine you are using warfarin which is an anticoagulant
and which reduces clotting or even it may leads to minimal hemorrhage from vessels also.
you consult your doctor
thanking you
The number of pus cells in urine 6-8cell/HPF is Normal, Ti is good that there is no bacterial groth in the culture, this rules out any infection which can cause cystitis... But Normally the Urine will not contain any amount of RBC, since 8-10 cell/HPF is seen , you needed to investigated further to rule out AGN ( acute glomerulo nephritis) and rule out kidney diseases,, even though you are on warfarin , there must not be any RBC, repeat the test and consult the Phycisian for further treatment..
Take Care...
