Redness, Rashes On Abdomen, Swelling In Neck, Lump Feeling. Pulled Out A Tick. What Is It?
I PULLED A TICK OFF MY ABDOMEN SEVERAL DAYS AGO. THERE WAS A RED RASH SURROUNDING THE BITE ABOUT 1 INCH IN DIAMETER. THE RASH DISAPPEARED WITHIN A COUPLE OF DAYS. THE LAST COUPLE OF DAYS MY NECK IS SWOLLEN AND TENDER ON THE LEFT SIDE NEAR THE BASE OF THE NECK. I CAN FEEL WHAT I WOULD DESCRIBE AS A LUMP. WHAT DO YOU THINK?

it would be helpful to know the description of the tick you have got.but listening to the history it may be an ixodes tick. the swelling is probably an enlarged lymph node due to secondary infection. a course of antibiotics may help.take care
