General & Family Physician, Dr. Vidya KR's Response
Hi, Thanks for using HCM.
Disc bulge is due to age related degenerative process. You need to take measures to reduce further bulging of disc, which may result in nerve damage. You can take NSAID's for pain relief, but long term use of these medication is not recommended. If your pain is not reduced with it, you can go for epidural steroid injection. Physiotherapy to strengthen your back muscles. graded exercise will also help.
Hope I answered your question. Consult your orthopedic doctor for further examination and management. Feel free to ask me if you have any further queries. Wish you good health. Take care.
Regards Dr. Vidya
