Rheumatoid Arthritis, Skin Darkening, Hair Loss. Taking Shelcal And Sazo Tablets. Pain Still Persist. Problem?
hi doc, i am a 27 years old mother of two lovely daughters. i am suffering from rheumatoid arthritis from last one year.i am taking hcqs shelcal and sazo500mg for the treatment.my query is that i am facing skin darkening and hair loss.plz tell me how to prevent it and also tell me that after taking these medicines i m still having pains in my knees shoulders fingers and toes.is the pain become constant in RA.....
Hello, Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum. Please mention whether Rheumatic Factor WAS + ve or - ve before treatment begins. E S R plays an important factor in Rheumatoid arthritis. If R A factor is + ve and E S R very high even after one year of treatment than possibilities are that treatment is not very effective. As you mentioned in your query that pain still persists, this is one more point of ineffectiveness of treatment. Usually within three months treatment completely disappear , I have seen in my patients. So once again consult your treating doctor and reassess the line of treatment. Hope I have answered your query. If further any question I will help. Good luck. Dr. HET
