Hi Satishkumar
Sorry to hear about your accident and optic nerve damage.
Any injury (direct or indirect) to the socket can lead to unfortunately irreversible damage to optic nerve. And depending upon the extent of optic nerve injury, the post traumatic effect is shown as loss of color vision or a partial/complete visual field defect and decreased vision.
It takes 3-4 weeks for the optic nerve to get atrophied and hence leaving a permanent visual loss.
I know it is a very sensitive subject to be spoken, but get yourself reassessed by 4th week and look for any improving signs.
Since you have not mentioned about the extent of injury and damage to other structures of the eye ,if it was an open globe injury, the primary aim of the ophthalmologist will be saving the shape of the eyeball.
So, review with the same doctor who can guide you better and prevent secondary damage ( due to infection) to the other eye in future.
Take care.
