SGPT LEVEL SHOWING 210

HI DR. THIS QUESTION FOR MY BROTHER, IN HIS MEDICAL REPORT ALT (sGPT) LEVEL SHOWING 210, IS IT COMPLICATED? HE ALSO HAVING ALCOHOL, BUT CONTINUOUSLY ONE MONTH HE DID NOT TAKE ANY ALCOHOL. AND HAVING MORE VEGITABLES AND DOING EXERCISE. THIS TEST HAS TAKEN ONE MONTH BEFORE, MY QUESTION IS IN HIS NEXT TEST WILL REDUCE THE LEVEL?

Hi,thanks for query.SGPT can be raised in many conditions.It is important to know the cause.Please go for blood counts and other liver function test have some more idea.He may need ultrasound for liver.Ask him to stop taking alcohol and avoid high fat food.Please ask him to avoid taking any analgesic tablets without proper advise.
