Sagging Rib Cage, Chest Shrinking, Breathlessness. Causes And Treatment?
Dear doc I feel a general sagging of my rib cage while sitting. The is a feeling that the chest is shrinking and gradully it turns into breatlessness. I exercise regularly and find relief for a few hours as I am standing or lying or moving. This issue is only while i am sitting. I checked mt posture also. There is nothing incorrect in the way I sit on a chair. Regards
Hello Sharon, from short history I can assume that you are suffering from either restrictive lung disease or some abdominal mass pushing your diaphragm up, I think you should consult one pulmonologist and one general surgeon, I think You should have to under go chest x-ray, followed by lung function test and ultrasonography of whole abdomen,
get well soon, keep posting if you have any more queries.
