Scan Done During 26th Week Of Pregnancy. Is Everything Okay?
I am 26 weeks pregnant. My last reports are showing Placenta : Posterior ans is of Grade 2 maturity is seen. And my latest report is showing Placenta: Fundal and is Grade 3 maturity is seen. What is the difference between these two terms. Is everything ok ??

The placenta is an important structure which provides nutrition to the growing fetus.
In the earlier scan the placenta was located along the posterior wall of uterus and showed grade 2 maturity.
In the present scan the placenta is in the fundus of uterus and shows grade 3 maturity.
The placenta gets fixed in position by the 28 week. Placenta maturity occurs normally and change from grade 2 to grade 3 is normal.
