Scan Of Cerebrum Done. What Does Findings Suggest?
mri findings for my cerebrum; [No idence of intracranial hemorrhage, mass, mass effect, or acute infraction. A T2 hyperintence opacities present in the right periventricular white matter extending into the corpus callosum. A second T2 hyperintensity is present in the subinsular region on the right. No mass or cortical and septal ablation. Minimal diffuse cerebral atrophy]. What do you think of these finding. I am going to see a neurologist.
Your MRI report suggest that you have T2 hyperintensties in above mentioned part of brain and it is two in number. It can be considered as non significant. If it would be more in number then it might be considered as significant. It is due to ischemic changes and is due to small vessel involvement. You should consult neurologist and take medicines to prevent further damage to brain. Mild diffuse cerebral atrophy is age related findings. Cerebral atrophy do occur due to other reasons also. Other findings are normal. Get well soon.
