A collection of POD fluid of 13.4cm was also noticed. The dr says he suspects an ectopic pregnancy . I want to know if the growth of d pregnancy cannot be stopped also is it okay to have a collection of POD fluid?? Pls reply.
Hello,
Thanks for your query.
An ectopic pregnancy, if suspected on ultrasound, can be confirmed by B HCG measurement and doubling time.
Also, if it fits the criteria of medical management, it can be terminated by injection methotrexate, otherwise it requires surgical removal of the ectopic pregnancy.
I need to have complete details of the USG report to comment further.
please follow the advice given by your doctor, as the fluid in the POD is definitely excessive and having 13. 4 cm fluid is not normal.
Take care.
