I got married 8months before.l'm getting periodic cycle for every 40-45 days after my marriage.Earlier it was normal when I have proper diet. Recently meet doctor and undergone for scanning to predict the egg rupture time.unfortunately came to know that egg is not rupturing instead increased its size to 42mm x 22 mm.will it be a problem to conceive.I'm total depressed, I want to give birth.please help.doctor suggested for injection to rupture the egg.
Hello Thanks for your query. At 42 by 22 mm, the follicle is now a follicular cyst. you can try taking hormonal triggers to induce ovulation. You need to have a complete assessment for cause of irregular / delayed cycles and anovulation. You should have thorough hormonal assessment to rule out PCOD ( polycystic ovarian disease ) - TSH, FSH, LH, androgens, prolactin, glucose tolerance test, fasting serum insulin etc. Treatment with clomiphene citrate and ovulation triggers will help you ovulate. Do not get depressed as you are young, and there are various available medications to help you. Take care.
