Hello
Welcome to HCM

Schizophrenia is a disorder with variable symptomatology. Mainly the symptoms like delusions and hallucinations are seen. With time change in Behavior occurs. Usually cognitive decline in form of loss of memory, concentration etc are seen only after years. Slurred speech may be observed due to side effects of medicines like tardive dyskinesia etc.
The patients of schizophrenia have comparatively less life span as compared to normal persons due to complications arising from side effects of drugs or due to accidents or suicide.
Consult a psychiatrist for proper treatment.

Thanks
