Severe Acidity, Fart, Bloated. Smoke And Drink. How Could It Be Reduced?
I am having severe acidity and fart with really stinky (normally used to take my mobile and go far away from people and fart due to the disgusting odor) odor. A bit heavy tummied (bloated). Not sure how to reduce this. This complaint is there for almost an year and I work in night shifts. I smoke 8-10 cigarettes and drink couple of times a week. Please help.
It appears that you have acidity and indigestion as a consequence of unhealthy life style. Smoking, alcohol and night shifts, all three contribute to this. While it may not be possible to avoid night shifts, please try to cut down or avoid alcohol and tobacco. Regular exercise will also make a big difference, especially in the flatulence. Avoid fried and fatty foods that are difficult to digest and gas producing foods like cabbage, carbonated drinks etc. While over the counter antacids may help, you may also need a course of medicines like proton pump inhibitors (omeprazole, pantoprazole etc) to reduce the acid production.
I hope this helps you. Best wishes.
