Severe Coccyx Pain, Swollen Lymph Nodes In Neck, Sore Throat, Headache. Tested Mono. Given Steroids. Treatment?

Hello, I have severe coccyx pain, swollen lymph nodes in neck, sore throat , headache, no fever, not tired. I was tested for mono yesterday and given several steroid medications one being prednisone . I am not convinced it is mono because I was not tired at all just body aches and it doesn t seem possible how I could of got it.

Hi,

Mono is an infectious disease transmitted through saliva mainly (the "kissing disease") or through sneezing or infected utensils. However, it is not transmitted as easily as influenza or common cold.

Once you get the disease, you also get immunized, so, you got protected for future infection.
