Severe Cough With Grey Colored Mucus, Tasting Ammonia. History Of Pneumonia And Smoking. Need More Treatments?
I have had a cough since May all through the summer months..Every morning when I wake up I hack and cough and spit up grey colored mucus . It also has a strong taste and odor of ammonia . I have had pneumonia severely twice this past winter and have quit smoking . could this be caused by mold in my house or is it just residual pneumonia that didn t clear up? It is quite annoying I am constantly clearing my throat and have a tick like cough all day long. Do I need antibiotics and or more breathing treatments?
Hi wdlcome toHCMForum. it appears that the cough might be due to failure of alveolar system to clear the mucous out due to previous 2 attacs of pneumonia. primarily you should get it treated as there is already infection.
I advise you to consult a physian for diagnosis and treatment. you may have to get the degetal xray and sputum for AFB along with other routine tests for confermation of the disease.
Besides i advise you some diet recomendations as avoid taking brinjal sea foods and any thing you are allergic. take more of green leafy vegetables pulses sprouts egg and meat to build up resistance.wishing for a quick recovery.
thanks for calling.
