Severe Diarrhea And Vomiting. Took Anti-diarrhea Pills, With Little Effect. Have A Gastric Sleeve. What Does It Indicate?

I have had a gastric sleeve in Feb this year....doing well with it. However, on Thursday I had water diarrhea continuously and started to vomit at noon, then two more times violently....mind you my stomach is about 8 ounces. I stopped vomiting Thursday night, slept all day Thursday, however have had the same diarrhea and explosive gas, since Thursday. took a half of a pill of anti diarrheal meds and stomach is bloted and still have explosive gas with loose stooles. Lost 8 lbs and feel like something is wrong. I have no insurance right now. What could it be?

Hi Dear,
Welcome to the HCM
As you have described all your symptoms. it appear to be that you have developed some stomach infection.
Needs to evaluated by stool culture and sensitivity and accordingly you can be treated by some relevant antibiotic for stomach.
Hope your all symptoms will be alleviated after getting a course of antibiotic.
