Severe Headache, Cough And Fever. Have Taken Theraflu. Intend To Take Generic Ibuprofen. Is The Combination Ok?
I drank1 packet of Theraflu in hot water 4 hours ago. My nose is still runny, watery eyes, POUNDING headache that is unbearable, intermittent cough. It's a cold (I guess) that began yesterday with lots of coughing. Fever is 99.7
QUESTION: Is it safe to take 2 generic ibuprofen tablets now (4 hours later) to diminish (hopefully) this excruciating headache? I do not get headaches frequently, and this one is enormous.
-> I'm concerned about interactions of these. (Theraflu was bought 2 years ago and has acetominophen in it)

Theraflu has acetaminophen and some other products that do not interact with ibuprofen: they have quite different pathways of acting.
you can take safely ibuprofen tablets (up to 400 mg/ dosage).
