Severe Pain And Weakness In The Arm And Chest. Ridge Cavity In The Pectoral Area. Do I Have Parsonage Turner Syndrome?

I believe I had Parsonage-Turner syndrome. All my symptoms fit. The acute pain started in 08/2012. The pain has decreased and is limited to my shoulder joint. I am experiencing weakness in my arm and chest. I had numbness in my arm and hand which has gone away also. I have been lifting weights at the gym since February of this year. I have a ridge cavity in my pectoral area. Could I be hurting the healing process by lifting weights?

Hi

Whenever there are symptoms of weakness in muscle it is advised to go for exercises under the supervision of a physiotherapist. It is also advised that regular exercising of the muscle happens so as to avoid atrophy of the muscle. It is also worthwhile to get investigated to rule out other causes of the symptoms.
