Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am having problems with my hands, I have lost full function of my right hand, I can move my hand but I cannot lift it over my head. I was diagnoised with parsonage Turner Syndrome last year. But Now I am having difficulty walking, its like my calf muscles are not functioning properly. could this be MS
As per history, I don't think this should be MS. MS has different symptoms and lot or their difficulties even for a physician to come to a conclusion that it is MS. We definitely don't want anyone to be diagnosed as MS.
The difficulty of walking is due to other factors and we need to assess the cervical as well as the lumbar spine for the same. there is a possibility of weakness in muscles due to other factors.
Having a word with the orthopedist should be given some insights as we need some physical examination to be performed before giving any conclusion. But for sure this is nowhere related to MS.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
