Severe Pain In Pelvic Area. Increases On And After Urination. Have Diverticulitis. Had Kidney Stones. Suggestion?
Very localized pain to the pelvic area, far worse during and after urination, same as when I pass gas or a dump, localized increased temperature, ultrasound was negative, CT had a diverticulum.
History of K-Stones, Prostate issues but urologist ruled it out, no blood in urine.
Male age 55
mixed race
Been to Urologist, Surgeon yesterday, gastro PA today.
Started last tuesday, pain increased to Thursday just like a k-stone so went to urologist.

It could just as well be due to a bowel issue as much a bladder problem if there is a pelvic pain. But if the pain is related to urination, we would normally ask for at least an ultrasound scan and a urine examination, and if the reports are normal, I guess you could try some empirical treatment such as anti-spasmodics, stool softeners, soft bland diet. You could also take some probiotics. Urine bladder spasms are likely to be relieved with medications such as Flavoxate thrice daily.
