Severe Pain In Right Body, Pulled Muscle. On Ibuprofen. Done Blood Test. What Do The Symptoms Indicate?

i recently went to Dr with severe pain in my right side, like a stitch, after a few days earlier mixing cement all day, Dr suggests I may have pulled a muscle. After 1 week on Ibuprofen no change, returned to dr, had a urine test, ok, taken me off Ibuprofen, just co codomol. had a blood test, Dr wants me to repiet blood test as esr is raised...does this make sence, I am concerned as I lost my wife to Kidney Cancer 3 years ago, although her symptoms were not the same.

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The rise in ESR is a non specific test and it needs further investigations to find out the cause. The pain that you have is more likely to be due to a muscular sprain and needs muscle relaxants for relief.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you. You can consult me again directly through my profile URL http://bit.ly/Dr-Praveen-Tayal
