Severe Reaction After Taking Recita For Nerve Issues, Now Advised Nexito, Rivotril. Lost Appetite. Reasons ?

hi..the problem is with my father.. his age 64.. he has some nerve issues..few months before he consulted a doctor.. and he prescribed "recita 5".. it caused huge reaction in him.. trmendous vomitting.. then it was found out that "recita" has hydro choride in it.. and it doesnt suits him.. recently he consulted another doctor.. this doctor prescribed "nexito 5" and "rivotril" . and now the problem is he is losing all urge to eat anything.. huge loss of apetite..
can you please suggest whats the problem is.. and what is cure for it..

It looks from the description to me that your father is suffering from some form of chronic illness. Generally patients with chronic illnesses develop some amount of depression over a period of time and shows no interest in anything including intake of food.

One of the most commonly reported adverse effect of NEXITO (Escitalopram) is decreased appetite. And the drug RIVOTRIL (Clonazepam) also produces anorexia (decreased appetite) in some patients. So it a double impact for your father.

I suggest you to consult your treating doctor and discuss the same.
