Sex During Ovulation. Nauseated, Cramps. Am I Pregnant?

Hi, I had sex while I was ovulating. We used a condom. So I didn t think about it until I was getting nauseous after eating 4-5 days ago. I have had cramping the last couple days but no sign of my period and I m a couple days late now. i took an hpt and it was negative. Is there a good chance I could still be pregnant?

Hello,
Thanks for the query.

Barrier contraceptive like condoms have high failure rate (14%).
Moreover you have missed your periods by 2 days with symptoms of nausea and abdominal cramps. You could be pregnant.
I suggest you to wait for 5 more days and get your urine pregnancy test. UPT is 98% sensitive when it is done 1 week following missed period. You can as well get your blood tested for Beta HCG and transvaginal ultrasound now itself to be more sure.
Hope this helps,
regards,
Dr Nilofer
