Shall I Take Niftran 100mg & Pan-D For Urine Infection In Pregnancy?
Hi Doctor,
I am in my 30th week of Pregnancy & have urine infection for which my Urine Culture report is showing pus cells : 10-12 /hpf & Organism Isolated: Escherichia coli & Colony Count is >10 power 5 . And my Gayne has told me to take Niftran (Nitrofuranton Capsules USP) 100mg & Pan-D (Twice a day each) over phone. I was not able to hear it clearly due to network problem & now my gynae is out of reach. Please let me know is it safe & the right medicine to take.

hi,this is the right medicine to take.take tab nitrofurantoin 100 mg twice a day for 7 days and tab pan 40 twice a day.also take syrup alkasol 2 tsf in 1 glass water twice a day.drink min 10 12 glasses of water and also take cranberry juice.take care and all the best.
