Sharp Back Pain, Occasional Blood In Stools, Hernia In Belly Button That Seems To Be Increasing. Taking Renadine. Second Opinion Required?
I have a sharp pain in my back that is persistent as well as in my abdomen. Chronic cough, blood in stool occasionally. Hernia in my belly button. Seen my family doctor who figures it's a peptic ulcer. Has sent me for blood work no results yet but treating with renadine. No improvement hernia getting larger. Should I seek a second opinion I've been treated for over a month already.
Hello, Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum. Obesity, age, female, are very prone to develop umbilicus ( belly button) hernia. Blood in stool ( occasional ) are mostly due to hemorrhoids. As far as concerned about peptic ulcer, I doubt. Consult one another physician and get in his opinion. Renadine is not a treatment but a symptomatic relief provider in this case.
Weight, age, sex, I want to know before any diagnosis. If hernia present only one option is SURGERY. Physical examination by doctor will reveal the nature of disease for blood in stool. Hope I have answered your question. If further any question I will help. Get well soon. Dr. HET
