Sharp Pain In Left Chest Area, Thin Blood Vessels, Leakage In Heart. Taking Aspirin. Anything To Worry?
HELLO DOCTOR, RECENTLY I WAS TOLD BY A CARDIOLOGIST THAT I HAD THIN BLOOD VESSELS TO MY HEART. I HAD A TEST WHERE THEY LOOK AT YOUR HEART. THEY SAID THAT MY HEART HAD SOME LEAKAGE BUT THAT MY VESSELS SURROUNDING MY HEART LOOKED 65 TO 70 YEARS OF AGE. THEY PUT ME ON A ASPIRIN A DAY & SCHEDULED ME A STRESS TEST. LATELY I HAVE BEEN HAVING SHARP PAINS IN MY LEFT CHEST AREA. SHOULD I BE ALARMED, ITS A DULL NAGGING PAIN?
The limited information is not sufficient enough to arrive at an appropriate conclusion You need to be investigated for Coronary Artery Disease. If TMT (Treadmill Exercise ECG / preferably with isotope) suggests ischemia, it is an indication for further work up – because at times, there may be false positive or false negatives. May be, you may need catheterisation and coronary angiography with a view for possible intervention.
Take care Wishing all well God bless Good luck
