Sharp Pain In Right Upper Rib Cage. Have Ovarian Cyst. Are These Related?
I have been having steady (never goes away) burning sharp pain in the right upper under rib cage for the last 2 months and its getting worse and cant lay on my right side in bed. they said I have a Ovarian cyst on the right. But my question is does the Ovarian cyst cause my upper right side abdomen pain by my last rib?
Hi, Thank you for asking question on health care magic. Ovarian cyst do not cause burning pain in the right hypochondrium. Most probably it may be acid peptic disease, It needs diet modification and life style change You may try omeprazol 20mg once daily in the morning with the advice of your doctor Hope this answer will serve your purpose Please feel free to ask any more queries if required Take care Dr.M.V.Subrahmanyam MD;DCH Associate professor of pediatrics
