Sharp Pains In Lower Ribs. Diagnosed As Strained Muscles, Taking Pain Relievers, No Effect. What Could Be This?

Hi I'm 16 and I'm haven sharp pains in my lower ribs right below breast. I have gone to the hospital for it they have said its just strained muscles but the pain relievers they gave me don't help and it gets to the point where I can't move and I can't eat and I feel like throwing up. The pain comes at random times it wakes me up at night could something be wrong???

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The pain not getting relieved on taking pain killers means that you need to use a combination of muscle relaxants with pain killers. Using a chest belt of appropriate size will also help.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
