Shifting Pain, Stiffness In Neck, Upper Back And Shoulders. All Reports Normal. Causes ?

Shifting pain and very much stiffness in neck , upper back and shoulders.. since one year almost... which causes anxiety and fear of going alone....

It all started a year before, i was just having pain in my neck, but due to important work i had to go to a hospital, to collect a report, though my will power was not allowing me...

Still i went, as i reached there the pain started getting high, and caused a lot of stiffnect in upper back..

And i felt panic and felt high palpitations..the heart rate was very high..... i felt what the hell is this...

After that i went for checkup... lipid profile, echo of heart, sugar, liver kidney panel all normal...

But till date no relief in pain..

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hi and welcome to HCM

The pains that you have described are likely to be due to a muscular spasm and stiffness.

To relieve the stress and spasm, do regular stretching and strengthening exercises. A good massage daily twice a day and then hot fomentation . But do hot fomentation after the application of massage, also take anti inflammatory ibuprofen 400 mg three times a day after meals. Regular stretching exercise will be helpful.
Application of local analgesic gel on the area will relieve the spasm.

I do hope that you have found something helpful and informative and I will be glad to answer any further query.
Take care.
