Should Arimidex Be Taken For Life Time Post Mastectomy?

I am having a mastectomy Monday 12/21/15 and the doc gave me this name for meds I willhave to take for 5 years, I am 75 yrs old and I would like to know thw side effects of this drug,, I take no drugs now, I hate big pharma, name of med is arimidex what can you tell me about this drug ? not generic

I really appreciate your concern, if this is the malignant condition of breast then it you have to continue the given medicine for given time least concern what is the side effect, better to continue it, hope this information helps.
