Should Canesten Cream Be Used On The Skin Around Vagina For Prolonged Thrush?
Hi I have thrush for 6 weeks now . I have been to see my doctor several times now but everything she subscribes just makes it a whole lot worse . the burning is so bad right now . I don t know if I was using the canesten cream right . am I surpose to use it on the skin around the vagina as to use it on my vagina its self just makes it burn so much worse my email address is YYYY@YYYY

Hi,
It seems that along with thrush there might be having some bacterial infection due to itching and irritation producing severe burning on the part.
Along with Canesten use antibiotic cream for few days to overcome infection.
Go for one antibiotic medicine course for 5 days to heal bacterial infection.
Later on go for one anti-fungal oral medicine course like Flucanoazole 150 mg once in a week for 4 weeks.
Keep local hygiene clean, dry and airy.
Ok and take care.
