I was on 10mg of celexa and in february my doctor decreased it to 5mg.Now she says that I can stop taking it. Do I just stop or do I need to taper off? Also, I m experiencing hot flashes and wonder if it has any connection to the change in dosage. Thanks!
Hello dear Understand your concern Celexa is a selective serotonine reactive inhibitor used for depression. It is always be tapered . Do not stop abruptly. If you stop suddenly chance of withdrawal symptoms like headcahe, runny nose, anxiety , tiredness, diarhhoea, suicidal tendency may occur.
So consult the psychiatric before stop the drug
