Should I Be Concerned About Having Nausea Daily Morning Mostly After Gulp Of Coffee/ Water?

Approximately six months ago I began having nausea in the morning. I would experience it only occasionnaly, perhaps once or twice a month. Recently, it seems to occur more frequently (twice to three times a week). I do not vomit and the feeling last 2-3 minutes if I take deep breaths.
I noticed that most times the onset will follow my taking a gulp of water or coffee.
Should I be concerned?

Hi there,

Thanks for your query.

You are apparently suffering from Gastritis, probably associated with an intestinal infection. Coffee, tea, beverages, spicy food, junk food tend to increase acid formation in the stomach.

Nausea may be due to either, as a result of acidity; or, an intestinal infection (most likely, amoebic).

A 4-6 weeks' course of

(a) a Proton Pump Inhibitor (PPI), such as Omeprazole or Pantoprazole, along with

(b) a Prokinetic drug, such as, Ondansetron, AND

(c) a Probiotic agent (Lactobacillus);

(d) plus, a 5-day course of Metronidazole/Tinidazole

will give you tremendous relief.

Consult your doctor and apprise him of my opinion. I am certain that he will agree with me and prescribe the advised treatment in appropriate doses.

If you find my response helpful and informative, do not forget an “excellent” (5-star rating) to my answer, to ENCOURAGE ALL doctors- engaged in social service- to render sound advice to the FREE queries.
