I got my lab tests done 2/5/14. I got concerned with the lab results. Doctor, can you please tell me what it means and what should I do? The results of a urine are: Occult blood - trace; RBC 4-10; Squamous epithelial cells are 10-20, bacteria - few. Comprehensive metabolic panel: Glucose 100, ALT (SGPT)-47, CBC: MCH-26.4, RDW-15.8.
You are suffering from urinary tract infection(UTI). UTI is indicated by turbid appearance of urine and presence of RBC,bacteria, epithelial cells etc in urine. You need few more investigations like routine hemogram,Renal function test,Urine culture and sensitivity and Ultrasound of abdomen. Further investigations can be done if needed. At present you need proper antibiotics after culture and sensitivity report.
SGPT is also toward upper side.It is important to know bilirubin level, viral markers, lipid profile. Your condition need clinical correlation. Treatment depend upon findings.
Hope i have answered your query. Get well soon.
