General & Family Physician 's  Response
hi
is it just fever or fever with chills and shivering. if it is with shivering, i would like to rule out urinary tract infection and malaria. i would advice you to get a perepheral blood smear investigation and urine rotinue investigation done at the time of fever to rule these out. if these come negative no need to worry, most probably it is viral and toddlers are prone to these infections.
hope it helps
