Should I Be Worried About Below Echo And TMT Results?
Hi,
I am 35 yrs old male and had taken Echo and TMT today and consulted a Dr with the results. Though Dr. said that the result is normal, I have a doubt. The impression in the TMT test is as follows.
1. Resting ECG shows SR,T Intervention in L3.
2. Good effort tolerance achieved 10.7 Mets on Bruce Protocol.
3. Normal HR and BP response. No Angina / Arrhythmias.
4. 0.5 mm ST Dep. in INF-Lateral leads noted during exercise.
5. CSA shows Borderline changes for Induicible Myocardial Ischemia.
I do not understand whether the 4th and 5th point is normal. Can you pls through some lights on how serious the result is.
You TMT report is normal. No need to worry.TMT is basically a test in which we are looking for heart s performance under graded stress. For each level of stress we are looking for ECG changes, BP, Pulse etc. ECG are most useful for the diagnosis. As a rule ST depression less than 1 mm is normal.so 0.5 in your report is normal.
