Should I Consult An Orthopedic For The Osteomyelitis In The Calf Bone?
My father has Osteomyelitis in his calf bone. He has had a pic line in for 6 weeks and it is not working. The wound clinic wants to send him to a Plastic Surgeon to cut the infected bone out. Is this who he should be going to or should we be taking him to an orthopedic surgeon?

consult an orthopedic surgeon and indeed dead piece of bone if there is should be removed to hasten healing and new bone formation
