Should I Consult The Doctor For The Delay In Periods Having The HPT Negative?
Why aren t I having my period? Hi my name is Emily and I m 19 years old. The first day of my last period was 10/09/12 today is 12/10/12. I took a couple home pregnancy tests with negative results. In these months I have not been sexually active but I did take a plan b pill in late October. I ve had problems in the past with my sugar levels, and I ve also had ruptured ovarian cysts. I m not big with western medications, and would much rather take care of this more naturally. Should I consult a doctor or just wait for my periods to come back on their own?
Yes, I would suggest you to visit your doctor for clinical examination. Repeat the pregnancy test after a week to ensure reliable results. Ovarian cysts could be the cause of irregular periods. Since you have mentioned about abnormal sugar levels, I would suggest you to rule out Hypothyroidism with thyroid profile tests.
Kindly check your BMI and maintain normal weight which will reduce the hormonal imbalance. There is no natural cure for ovarian cysts. Hormonal pills should be taken regularly for controlling the symptoms.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
