Should I Go For A Tetanus Or Rabipur Injection For A Scratch From Dog S Paw?

I am 68 year healthy male. Today while playing with a dog he put his paw on my arms and I got a minor scratch which showed fine blood mark. The scratch itself is healed in hours and there is no pain or swelling. Please advise if I need to take any injections including Tetanus or Rabipur . Please note the dog is completely vaccinated. prakash koppar

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thank you for posting your question here, I will try to answer it to the best of my abilities.

Rabies is transmitted through the saliva of a dog, if it is just a scratch from his paw there is nothing to worry about, the scratch should heal normally.
I hope this helped.
