Should I Go For Laproscopic Surgery Inspite Of Having Ovarian Cyst?

Hello Doctor. I am 27 years female, married 1 year back. I have been diagnosed by an ovarian cyst of size 5.4X4.6 cm (right side). I took an ipill for the first time in mid june and in early july when my periods were due i had periods for only the first day with slight discharge. but after that it stopped. I visited a gynac and as suggested got a USG Pelvis done which reflected this cyst. The doctor said that since it is more than 5 cms the only way is to get a laproscopic surgery done. Please suggest me if this is the only way. What would you suggest? Will things be absolutely normal for me (physically as well as maritally) after the surgery.
