Should I Take Warfarin For DVT In Lower Leg?

I am 63 year old female 9weeks ago diagnosed with DVT in lower left leg. On Warfarin since then (1tablet) daily. Leg doing fine but have developed dreadful chest pains which wake me at 4am and last for rest of day. Was prescribed Topzole to overcome this but do not have good reaction to Topzole. Feel totally out of it on this medication and also develop flu like symptoms with closed chest feeling and blocked nasal passages etc. What do you suggest?

Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. Thank you for your query. I am Dr. Rommstein, I understand your concerns and I will try to help you as much as I can.
Well it has benefits and disadvantages but generally if shoul dbe taken if you have DVT which may have serious consequances. If warfarin had side effects then you can consider other medications such as dabigartan or pradaxa whch may be more expensive but have less side effetcs.
I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us in every time.
Kindly regards. Wish you a good health.
