Should I Use Minoxidil To Increase Beard Growth?

Hello, I am rather conflicted, and I have a decision to make. I am 19 years old and ever since I was a kid I wanted a beard, it s coming in rather slow. I looked online at something that could perhaps speed up the process (I am from a Eastern European descent and all the men in my family have a beard). I came across Minoxidil which is usually used for balding on the scalp. I have come across some positive feedback on some beard forums, however there are others which say there is a health risk as Minoxidil was developed for high blood pressure. What I am asking is should I give Minoxidil a try to jump start my beard growth, because I am running out of patience? Then again, maybe I am looking for only one answer, which would be yes. I would really like to make my existing facial hair to thicken and my vellus hair to terminate.

Hi,
I can understand you concern for less hair in beard area.

There is no particular medication for this condition as it is totally dependent in genetically status of a person. You can take vitamins in the form of biotin, calicium pantothenate and other vitamin B complexes. Increase you protein intake on daily basis and eat sprouts.

Eat a lot of green leafy vegetables and sprouts which contains vitamins and minerals necessary for normal hair function.

Minoxidil in lotion form can be used to improve bit of hair growth. Minoxidil do not cause any side effect and is very safe drug to be used.

Take care.
