Should Misoprostol Be Taken Orally Or Vaginally To Terminate The Pregnancy?

Hi...My wife had her last period in the month of Feb starting from 9th. Yesterday, we performed a home pregnancy test which showed signs of being positive. She has missed her period by about 4 days now. Is it ok to terminate her pregnancy with the Unwanted kit? she has consumed the misoprostol last night and now we are confused if we should continue with MIFIPRISTONE orally or vaginally? If yes, when should it be consumed?

Hi,

You should not take abortion medicines without guidance from a gynecologist. There are any safety measures and medicine should be taken after gynecologist check up.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. B. Radhakrishnan Nair, OBGYN
