I had a viral labyrinthitis about 8-10 months ago. It was bad but I have been symptom fee for at least 7 months. I wish to go scuba diving in Africa - have been diving many years. Any risks I should be aware of? Should I stick to less than 20 metres? Age 44 female otherwise healthy

Hello

Welcome in H.C.M.

I have gone through your query regarding scuba diving in Africa, though you were having viral labyrinthitis about 8-10 months back, and for last 7 months you are symptoms free.

Madam I would like to inform you that viral labyrinthitis is a self limiting disease and is having spontaneous recovery. As you are symptoms free for last 7 months it appears you had recovered well. I hope there should not be any problem in scuba diving with you so you may enjoy the same.

Regards.
