Should A Tetanus Shot Be Taken After Being Cut By A Steel Can?

Hey. Yesterday I cut myself on a can of baked beans. It was clean from what I noticed but it could have been dusty. I had a tetanus shot 5 years ago after being burnt. I m just wondering whether its worth getting a tetanus shot or should I not worry? Thank you for your time :)

Hello,

Minor and clean wound means if you not vaccinated for ten years, then need of booster. If it is serious wound with plenty of soil or mud contamination, then need to vaccinate, if you are not vaccinated last five years.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
