Should Contraceptive Pills Be Ceased Post Intake Of Plan B?

I am currently on birth control and am about to go on the sugar pills in about 3 days; however, I had to take Plan B One Step today and I m very very worried. If I stopped taking my birth control starting tonight instead of in 3 days, will I know sooner?

Hello,

You should continue to take the pills as usual. Don't interrupt them. If you have been taking the contraceptive pills correctly you don't need to take the emergency pills.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
